Hideaway Apartments – Booking Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to bookings made directly with Hideaway Apartments. Please read them before booking. By confirming a booking, the lead guest agrees to these terms on behalf of everyone in their party.

1. Bookings and payment

The minimum stay is five nights. A booking deposit of 20% of the accommodation price is payable when booking. The remaining balance is due six weeks before arrival. For bookings made within six weeks of arrival, the full accommodation price is payable when booking.

A separate £250 security deposit is also payable when booking. This is held against damage, missing items or additional cleaning required because the apartment has not been left in a reasonable condition. It will be refunded promptly after check-out and inspection, less any reasonable, itemised deductions. The security deposit is separate from the accommodation price and is not subject to the cancellation percentages below.

2. Guests and occupancy

Each apartment accommodates a maximum of four people. The accommodation price covers up to two guests; each additional guest is charged €12 per night.

Guests under 16 are permitted only where the owner has agreed to this before the booking is confirmed. The lead guest is responsible for everyone in their party and must ensure that the occupancy limit and house rules are followed.

3. Arrival and departure

Check-in is from 3 pm to 8 pm. Check-out is by 11 am.

Check-in after 8 pm must be arranged in advance and carries a €50 charge, payable directly to the management company on arrival.

4. Cancellations

Please notify us in writing if you need to cancel. The refund of the accommodation price depends on when we receive your cancellation, measured against the scheduled check-in date:

When cancellation is received Refund of accommodation price
30 days or more before check-in 100%
7 to 29 days before check-in 50%
Fewer than 7 days before check-in No refund

The booking deposit forms part of the accommodation price; it is not an additional cancellation charge. Any cancellation charge will be applied fairly, taking account of losses avoided or a replacement booking where applicable. The £250 security deposit will be refunded if the stay does not take place.

If we are unable to provide the booked apartment, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and refund any payments made for accommodation we cannot provide.

5. House rules

To protect the apartment and neighbouring properties:

  • Pets are not permitted.
  • Parties and events are not permitted.
  • Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 7 am. Please keep noise to a level that does not disturb neighbours.
  • Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the apartment.

Additional cleaning or linen changes requested during the stay may be arranged for an additional charge. We will tell you the charge before providing the service.

6. Before you leave

Please leave the apartment in substantially the same clean and tidy condition in which you found it, allowing for normal use during your stay. Before check-out, please:

  • Take all rubbish to the designated main refuse or waste collection area.
  • Lock all external sliding doors and close the main entrance door.
  • Switch off lights and any electrical equipment you have used, where it is safe and appropriate to do so.
  • Leave all keys inside the apartment, unless the management team instructs you otherwise.

Please tell the management team about any damage or maintenance issue as soon as you become aware of it. Reasonable costs arising from damage, missing items or cleaning beyond normal use may be deducted from the security deposit, with an explanation of any deduction.

7. Personal belongings and safety

Guests are responsible for taking reasonable care of their belongings and for supervising any minors in their party. Please use the apartment and any available amenities, including stairs, terraces, lifts, pools and nearby paths, with appropriate care.

We are not responsible for loss, theft, damage or injury unless it results from a failure for which we are legally responsible. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
